A valuable education within reach
Full tuition coverage through the CHOOSE Act.
An awarded CHOOSE Act education savings account can cover the full published cost of attending Veritas for 2026–27.
Veritas offers a substantial Christian education: rigorous academics, deliberate formation in faith and virtue, committed teachers, and a community in which every child is known. The CHOOSE Act helps Alabama families access that education without reducing its value.
How full coverage works
For the 2026–2027 school year, Veritas tuition is $6,000, and the required books and school supplies fee is $1,000. Alabama's CHOOSE Act provides an education savings account of $7,000 per awarded student enrolled at a participating school.
Because Veritas is an approved participating school, an awarded student's $7,000 ESA can cover the full $7,000 published cost of tuition, books, and required school supplies. For that family, those published costs are fully covered.
Full coverage does not mean a lesser education. The state award makes a valuable Veritas education accessible to more Alabama families.
Who can apply?
For 2026–2027, new applicants were subject to the state's income eligibility rules, award priorities, and available funding. The application window for that school year closed March 31, 2026.
Beginning with the 2027–2028 academic year, Alabama removes the income limit, allowing families to apply regardless of income. State priorities and available funding still apply, so eligibility or an application does not guarantee an award.
Veritas is a participating school
Veritas Lutheran School appears on the Alabama Department of Revenue's official list of participating schools. CHOOSE Act funds may be used for qualified expenses through the state's program and payment platform.
Your next steps
- Get to know Veritas. Plan a visit and decide whether our Christ-centered education is right for your child.
- Apply to Veritas. School admission and the state CHOOSE Act award are separate processes.
- Follow the state timeline. Review current eligibility, deadlines, and application instructions on the official CHOOSE Act page.
- Tell our office about your award. We will help an enrolled family complete the required school verification and payment steps.
Program amounts, eligibility, priorities, deadlines, and qualified expenses are controlled by the State of Alabama and may change. Families should confirm current requirements with the Alabama Department of Revenue. An application or eligibility does not guarantee an award.
